We invite you to our October DPAC Meeting on Monday October 7. We will be meeting in-person at Van Bien Training Centre or online on MS Teams at 6:30pm. District partners join at 7:30pm.

Our theme is Technology & Communication. We will have an understanding of how the “greening” process works in SD57 and the effort to distribute devices appropriately at all our schools. We understand there are various tools that staff uses to communicate with parents. The district IT department is supporting PACs with a unique PAC email address in MS Outlook that has recently had two-factor authentication enabled. We will talk about the restriction on personal digital devices (cell phones) during instructional time and how it is being received by teachers and students. It is important to understand the privacy rules and practice confidentiality when conducting PAC business and being involved with students at our schools.

Finally, we will introduce our new Digital Communications Assistant and how PACs and parents can engage with DPAC and amplify your voice within our District and province.
