At our October general meeting, DPAC representatives voted to pay 100% of PAC memberships for those PACs who apply to BCCPAC.

We usually pay 50% of the membership for PACs who join, and who give us their proxy to vote for them at the BCCPAC AGM. This year, we have the opportunity to tell BCCPAC that we will pay for our PACs directly.

Why?

We believe it’s important to have a provincial parent voice. We also believe that it’s important to be able to influence this parent voice through our voting power. There’s a whole list of other reasons as well – you can find them here: http://www.bccpac.bc.ca/membership

What does my PAC need to do?

Your PAC needs to apply for membership, either by paper form or online:

• fill out online Membership Application or
• mail BCCPAC a completed hard copy Membership Application Form

When the forms asks how you are paying, write in that your DPAC is paying for you.

When the spring BCCPAC AGM is being organized, we will contact your PAC and ask for your proxy vote, if you’re not intending to send anyone to the BCCPAC AGM. Voting is important, and gives us a voice.
