We invite you to our DPAC Meeting on Monday January 6, 2025. It will be the first day back to school! We will be meeting in-person at Van Bien Training Centre or online on MS Teams at 6:30pm [see login information below].
Our theme is Rural Schools in Remote Communities. We will be hearing from Principals and PACs from the outlying areas around Prince George – Hixon, Giscome, and Nukko Lake.
The SD57 District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) serves a large geographic area including Valemount, McBride, Mackenzie, and other outlying areas around Prince George. We work hard to engage with parents and PACs in those regions, but it is difficult to have meaningful connections on virtual meeting and emails.
This month the discussion will be around positive aspects of your school and community, challenges with funding, recruitment/retention, bussing, and any other rural issues.
