YMCA MEND Program – January 2014

Mind Exercise Nutrition Do It! MEND empowers children and families to become fitter and healthier. This free program is fun and interactive and supports children in two age groups: 7-13 and 5 – 7 and their families to adopt a healthy lifestyle.  MEND is for children who are above a healthy weight (body mass index (BMI) of 85 per cent or higher).   Parents/caregivers join their children in each session to learn about how to choose healthier foods and spend more time being physically active.  Twice-weekly MEND sessions begin in January and are held at the YMCA.  Call Cheryl at 250 562 9309 x 213 to learn more!
