It’s the time of year when B.C. school districts are required to file annual Statements of Financial Information (SOFI) for the last school year. These should be easily accessible on district websites, and I urge you to complain if they are not.
The most interesting information in SOFIs is the report on salaries and expenses for employees earning more than $75,000. (There is other data about spending, but it is complicated and everything needs to be double-checked).
The Ministry of Education has made public the statements of financial information for all school districts from 2009/10 on their website, and will presumably post the 2010/11 documents at some point:
