School District Announcement

DPAC received an email this morning:

Superintendent of Schools Brian Pepper has asked me to forward the following:

It is with regret that I inform you that Bryan Mix, Secretary Treasurer, will be leaving School District No. 57 at the end of March, 2013.

Bryan has provided exceptional and dedicated service to the students, staff and Board of Education of the district for more than 20 years. His contributions to the communities of Valemount, McBride, Mackenzie and Prince George as a representative of this district are numerous and important, and have been the foundation for a legacy of mutual respect and cooperative partnership. Bryan’s significant financial knowledge and leadership talents have ensured financial sustainability in our district.

In addition, he has played an important leadership role in many provincial organizations, including the B.C. Public School Employers’ Association, the Provincial Education Benefits Trust and the B.C. Association of School Business Officials. His valued contributions have often been sought by the Ministry of Education as well as these organizations.

We thank Bryan for his substantial contributions to our district and to public education in our province, and wish him continued success in his future endeavours.

Brian Pepper
Superintendent of Schools

The District Parent Advisory Council Executive joins the Superintendent in thanking Bryan Mix for his contributions to the district, and wishing him all the best in the future.
