Elementary Math Meeting

On Oct 18th, the District had Dr. Marian Small speak to parents at UNBC, which was quite successful (55 parents). At the end of that evening, those attending were asked if they would like to attend an evening where they could come and see how the math is taught today and see for themselves why it is being done these ways. There was a high number of hands that went up. So to that end there has been an evening scheduled to start to look at elementary math. Hopefully, it will be the first of many, and discussions around mathematics will be fostered.

November 22 6:30-8:00 pm at the Van Bien Training and Development Center (attached to east side of Van Bien elementary 311 Wilson Cres.)

If people are interested please have them email Brian Hatcher directly at bhatcher@sd57.bc.ca, along with the elementary grade level that they are most interested in. There is a maximum of 25 participants for this first evening.
