My child says that she doesn’t have enough time to finish eating most days. I have heard where a school had the eating part of lunch after they had gone out to play. I wonder if this would work better. Also the children would be seated for when eating time is over.

Kids don’t seem to have enough time to eat. My daughter often comes home starving, saying she didn’t have time to eat all her lunch. I’ve heard of other places allowing kids to go outside to play first, then coming back in for a longer set meal time. I really like that idea. Let’s them burn off energy before sitting down to eat, and saves them from stuffing food into their mouth quickly then running around on a full stomach. On another note, PAC hot lunches are great!!

    • Totally agree, play then eat would give them a better appetite, my son often comes home with his entire lunch still saying he didn’t have time. He’s 7, that’s not healthy! (I know it’s because he forgets when it’s lunch time but those kids who take longer could be given extra quiet eating time?)
